Lesson Structure and Registration Steps

We are so excited to welcome your child to ISR Reno Tahoe swim lessons! We look forward to instilling them with life-saving water safety skills and a love for aquatics. ISR lessons are different than traditional swim lessons. You should know:

• Lesson Structure: 10-minute 1:1 lessons, 5 days a week (Monday through Friday), for 6 weeks—an average of 30 personalized lessons tailored to your child’s progress. Note that I book my sessions for 7 weeks to allow for any weather or illness cancelations. You need to plan to be available 6 of the 7 weeks.
• Consistency is Key: Since each lesson builds on the last, it’s important for your child to attend consistently. If you have planned travel during the session, please reach out to me before scheduling to discuss options.
• What your child will learn: Children 6 months of age up to walking learn to rollback to float. Once a child knows how to walk, they learn to swim, float, swim. Note that 6 month olds must be able to sit for a minute independently unassisted before starting lessons. RESULTS GUARANTEED!*

To register your child for ISR swim lessons please follow the steps below. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us. Time slots currently available in a private pool in SW Reno and Incline Village.

Step 1: Reserve your preferred location, swim lesson start date, and time slot

To begin your child’s registration please select a lesson location, start date, and time slot for your child. The time slot you choose will be your daily time slot for the entirety of your child’s program.

Step 2: Pay your non-refundable deposit

Once you select a swim lesson location, time slot, and start date and fill out the registration information you will be prompted to pay your non-refundable deposit.

The non-refundable deposit is in the amount of your first week’s tuition. Your weekly tuition payments will begin the second week of lessons and are due each Tuesday at the end of your lesson.

Need support paying for lessons? Once you schedule your child for lessons with us, you will be able to share a Gift Link from your child’s portal with grandparents, family, and friends who wish to contribute towards lessons. This makes a GREAT birthday or holiday gift!

Step 3: Complete the National ISR Registration

Before your start date, we will email you a secure registration link to complete national ISR registration which covers a medical and developmental screening. ​A $105 National Registration fee per child is payable directly to ISR. After you submit your child’s registration, ISR reviews it. After registration approval, ISR will email you a confirmation that registration is complete and the lessons may begin.

Each family will have access to a digital ISR Parent Resource Guide. This is a fabulous resource; please read it in preparation for the first lesson. It explains the many facets of ISR lessons and techniques, addresses FAQs and the role of parents, and provides vital information for practicing good family aquatic safety.

Scheduling Policy

Payment Reserves Your Spot: Each time slot is held specifically for your child. While we cannot provide prorated fees or makeup days if lessons are missed, rest assured we’re committed to working closely with your child to achieve their water safety skills. Any instructor cancelation dates will not be charged.
